The word 'magical' can be used in a number of instances and does not have to necessarily be in the reference of Harry Potter.

For example, you can adequately use the word magical as such  :-

"Your lovely gaze is so magical it left me stupefied."

See, completely irrelevant to Harry Potter and is still acceptable!
