Remember those days when the teacher came in late to class and she went all "why didn't you go and call me at the teachers room" and we went all guilty pretending to hang our heads in our non-existential pit of shame. 

But come to think of it, how was it our fault? How were we supposed to know that the teacher had genuinely forgotten that she was supposed to present herself to teach in the class that she was assigned to? 

We were patiently waiting for her to come, but she didn't. So we thought there must be some extremely important business that she had to attend to that's got her occupied, and obviously we wouldn't want to disturb her. It's the least we ought to do, right? 

It's not like we knew she'd forget. 

I mean, we did wait!

How was it our fault again?
