Every single time you feel as though all your arteries, veins and capillaries conspire to laze up against attending lecture sessions- visualise your folks. How they sacrificed.. so much, to get you in the position that you are.
The faces of contentment from your teachers- because knowledge is treasured, and is never enough. Good grades that aren't merely good grades, but a representation of du'as and hard work. Weeks of waking up with a smile because you are grateful to be here, learning- realising possibilities, priceless- countless opportunities. The forces surrounding you keep nudging for you to fall- but amidst the trembling, you decide to walk on.
Wish for your graduation day to be the day when you worry less about where you stand in this world- make it worthwhile, today. Today.

It's possible to find soul mates in friendships, too.
The usual faces I turn to for advice all the way through.. are the ones I owe a part of me to. These are the ones who'd be more than willing to lend me their ears and beating hearts; they're the brains I consider in life/death decision making- the ones who grow along with me, patching up all the kindness in the world while putting real life crises into combat.
They are the souls who walk with me towards ar-Raheem.
It's magnificent how our conversational topics evolve and mature as we do over the years.
It tears me up to finally be here, to realize how big a role a friend could hold-
Remarkable are the times that brought me to you, aching and flawed, and young. I would never want to trade the phases of growth we share- for anything. The interdependence is strong, and the strength within was crafted from mistakes, made & mended. We live and love with all that we could, all that we would.
It's an honor, to have you.
It's a bigger one to keep you in my prayers,
for the time we'll have, arms entwined, in His eternal gardens.
